# Corrections log

Figures refresh every night. [How each figure is worked out](/methodology/).




Corrections are logged here with the date, what was wrong and what it was changed to. Figures that change because a source published new data are not corrections — that is the site working, and every figure carries its own as-of date so you can see which vintage you are reading. There are no corrections to report yet.








## The log



Nothing logged yet. This page exists so that when there is something, it has somewhere to go.





## What counts as a correction



- A figure that was wrong because of a bug in how it was calculated or parsed.

- A figure kept by hand that was out of date or mistyped.

- A characterisation that was misleading, even if the number behind it was right.

- A source attributed incorrectly.




A figure moving because DESNZ published a new week, or Ofgem set a new cap, is not a correction. Every
figure shows the date of the observation behind it, and the underlying series are committed to the
repository on every run, so the history is visible rather than asserted.





## Telling us about a mistake



Email the address in the footer with the page, the figure and what you think it should be. If it is a
calculation, the [methodology page](/methodology/) sets out what the site does, which is
usually the quickest way to work out where a disagreement comes from. If it is a source, the
[data page](/data/) has the raw series to check against.
