## What this data does and doesn't show



- Every figure is as Aberdeen City printed it. Counts in the £100,000 figure are our sum of the council's bands.

- Comparisons are with the other Scottish councils read so far; no national figure is published for England.

- No 2025/26 unaudited accounts were found on the council website or committee portal at the time of checking, so the audited 2024/25 accounts are used. Scottish councillors are paid salaries under national regulations; basic rate is the national councillor remuneration for 2025-26 (SSI 2025/8). The accounts state that in 2024/25 the Leader's salary was £49,810 and 15 Senior Councillor posts were paid £506,820 in total. The council's annual return of councillors' salaries and expenses was not retrieved.
