UK petrol averaged 134.6p a litre in April 2025, of which 75.4p was tax (56%) and 32.1p was crude oil. The price fell from 135.3p in the week to 7 April 2025 to 133.8p in the week to 28 April 2025.

Brent averaged $67 a barrel over the month and the pound bought $1.318. Fuel duty was 52.95p a litre throughout. The refining and retail margin averaged 27.1p.
