UK petrol averaged 133.9p a litre in July 2025, of which 75.3p was tax (56%) and 33.3p was crude oil. The price rose from 133.2p in the week to 7 July 2025 to 134.2p in the week to 28 July 2025.

Brent averaged $71 a barrel over the month and the pound bought $1.350. Fuel duty was 52.95p a litre throughout. The refining and retail margin averaged 25.3p.
